Re: Blade Light Wind Kite?

I think that the Fat Lady is slightly higher aspect than the Infinity, with more narrow struts, and a thinner leading edge.... but an otherwise similar shape. Relaunch on the Fat Lady is stupid easy. See the video I just posted above and you can see how eager this kite is to get into the air. In my ...

Re: Blade Light Wind Kite?

So I have been out testing the Blade kites the past 5 days, and I am really enjoying both the Triggers and the Fat Lady. Realistically one could go 12m Trigger to Fat Lady, and not have any desire for anything in between. Yesterday was fantastic, and i got out on a skimboard and the Fatty, hours bef...

Re: Blade Light Wind Kite?

More footage of the Fat Lady in 14-15mph winds. Friends were on 13/14m kites and surfboards... I was on twintip and could point higher... and have more fun. Note, I had the kite all the way depowered...... This is a powerful kite. Also, I have tested this kite, and the Epic Infinity. Both are great ...

Re: Slingshot Tyrant differences

I owned the 6'2" and my friend liked it so much he kept it. I had it as a demo for my shop, so I was cool with that. So, I decided to mix things up and try the 6'1".... Last year I had a Ben Wilson 6'2" as well, so I was curious about the 6'1". If I was going to buy one right now, I'd go with the 6'...

Re: Cost Breakdown of Kite Package - Online Only vs Shop

You are correct on pretty much everything you say... but the gist of what I am getting at is this. Online sales aren't bad. I don't think shopping around is bad. Find the right product at the right price......... but also consider if that company you choose do do business with is also supporting the...

Re: Cost Breakdown of Kite Package - Online Only vs Shop

Our local spot has a 'club house' just over the road and I'd bet dollars to donuts that the proprietor makes more money from annual carparking fees and lessons than he does from selling kites, even in this captive market. Which is fine by me, I'm happy to pay the fee cos we get secure storage (if y...

Re: Liquid Force Pad/Strap Redesign... any good?

All boards should be sold with the option of no pads at a reduced price, so I don't have to keep paying for shit pads/straps :angryfire: Thats how LF sells their boards... and I like it.. because then the rider get to decide what straps, boots, etc they want. When shopping though, some consumers ex...

Re: Cost Breakdown of Kite Package - Online Only vs Shop

I don't think I have bashed any company or person. I brought up my perspective, as I think that there should be more service involved in selling a potentially power kite to a customer, especially a beginner and community support. One model offers this service, the other doesn't. If this isn't the pl...

Re: Cost Breakdown of Kite Package - Online Only vs Shop

Lots of good points being made, and I'd like to further clarify my thoughts. There are 2 different business models. One that goes through shops, and one that is a website only. I am saying that IF all things are the same (price, quality, performance) and it comes down to a consumer choice, I'd urge ...
