Re: Waterproof action cams

Interesting... just looked at amazon.com - when I bought my ROAM2 in 2012, it was $142 new... now the new ones are $100 more expensive :o guess with the company going under, people are milking the price on the very good thing the R2 is... Ion Air 3 looks like it could hit the spot - but I want a li...

Re: Go pro mounting to a split strut

gopro on a kite can give a pretty cool perspective especially if you're riding in a unique spot where you just can't understand it unless you get that wide angle overhead shot. anyhow I was tinkering with a new way of mounting a camera to my strut. I always used a ipod armband but was looking for so...

which model do you have?
your best bet might be the original camrig line mount.
might take some slight modifications, but it could work for you.

Re: motorcycle/scooter transport

Where did you get the rack? This might work for me on my Harley instead of going to get a custom rack made which I have been too lazy to go get done. hey joe, I custom fabricated this rack system. the aluminum plates that run vertical are fastened to the base frame structure of the saddle bags. I h...

Re: motorcycle/scooter transport

how I roll. I do get some looks I've had it up to 90 mph getting on the freeway and had no issues with vibration or turbulence would love to carry a surfboard, but think having it parallel with bike would be better http://www.livewireprototyping.com/kite/kitebike.jpg http://www.livewireprototyping.c...

yep.
that's hat island just beyond the reflection and parts of whidbey island just upwind of that.
if you look closely to the left of the sun's reflection off the water just in front of that island, you can see the blow spray from the gray whale.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

I've had the 13m out in pretty light winds. That coupled with a good lightwind board seem to be a great solution for me at 180 pounds. It was 14-17m wind last night at our local spot. Saw some whales upwind so tried to get a picture with my strut less kite mount http://www.livewireprototyping.com/ki...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Can you carve a surfboard style turn on the paipo or is it more like riding a skim board? I've ridden the paipo and the fin does make it very controllable, yet you can still spin it around like a skim. the board is one of the more versatile sticks to keep in your quiver. can't wait to get one of th...

Re: Mounting a Contour+2 on the center strut...

that will work just fine. since you have the +2, before you head out, sync the bluetooth with your smartphone and check your perspective to make sure your camera is in line with the rider position. one degree off is noticeable so have someone assist you by just having the kite in the wind window and...
