Re: Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

well the mystic thing is not really anything new just a sliding rope ... I believe this self tightens similar to how the ION C Bar does. When you close the lever it tightens so you don't have to keep loosening and tightening the straps. I have not seen it except for this picture so I am just guessi...

Re: Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

RideEngine started selling DYNABAR with their custom harnesses around 2014, when become Slinkshot they started to produce their own copy. "RideEngine" or actually just "Engine" (Coleman had not yet started using RideEngine) had their own carbon sliding spreader bar back as far as December of 2012 s...

Re: Liquid Force Impluse for Kiteboarding ?

Sorry to hijack thread, where should the impulse foil be placed on a surfboard for strapless kitefoiling and wakefoiling. Mounting on a 5'4" space pickle. Never used that board but I ride with my back foot almost centered over the front bolts... I'm 180lbs and that trim works well for me. My stance...

Re: Liquid Force Impluse for Kiteboarding ?

I ride the Kanaha Shapes 37" with the LF Impulse and a 30" mast, I prefer the shorter mast simply for maneuverability. Excellent for kiting but I am not sure its the foil I would buy if I was just learning. Its great once you start learning to Jibe but when you are just learning to stay on foil I wo...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

kite_hh when you are testing be mindful of how many times your safety line gets twisted around the center line. At first is will not be a problem but over time it will develop a memory and it will be difficult to keep it from twisting. I don't know why it does this but it does and its annoying, I su...

Re: Iberostar Playa Pilar Cayo Guillermo

I would add as I typically do on threads about Cuba... it is not a windy destination. There are mild easterly winds most days maybe 10 knots the 15+ knot days are rare unless you get lucky... and I have but I have been there over a dozen times. I have had wind everyday and I have had no wind for 10 ...

Re: Iberostar Playa Pilar Cayo Guillermo

Hi I am just back from Guillermo. Stayed at the Sol. Several families with kids there seemed to be having a nice time. Its not posh by any means but more than adequate - depends on your standards... You might want to look at the Melia if you want a little more upscale. The resorts at the Pillar end...
