Re: Best Smart Watch

Suunto. Been using for about 7 years. Very comprehensive. Trying Apple Watch. Good for safety if you need to call for help. Apps not so good.

Re: What is hot right now in kiteboarding!

I don't see many Kiters using Cabrinha Fireball. I use this and feel it is far better than the chicken loop. Won't go back.

Re: Extreme itch due to wetsuit? Fresh water? red dry blotches..

Agree Eree. Always wash with fresh water and hang out in shade. Invert to dry both sides. Never Pee in them. Wash thoroughly with mild soapy water once every 10 sessions. Don't hang out and sweat on the beach in the wetsuit. Equals nice fresh and long lasting wetsuit.

Re: What is the warmest female wetsuit

Agree with Peert. The best wetsuit for warmth i have owned (over 45yrs) is the RipCurl Flashbomb. Not cheap but very very good. Dries quickly too.

Re: Best bar ever made? LF Mission V3

Yes. Looks simply light and uncluttered something I like in a bar. The Cabrinha 2018 and 2019 1X bar is also a very clean simple light bar also.

Re: Hawaii in April/May

OK. So the main spot to kite on Oahu is in Kailua. Call in and see Josh at Hawaiian Watersports and he will give you the info you need. Respect the rules there, follow the locals. As far as Maui. Kitebeach right adjacent to the airport is the spot to kite. Not before 11am. Call in and see the team a...

Re: plastic tubes on depower/safety lines - are they a good thing?

Ten years on I have been happy with the PU tubing on all my bars. Never had an issue with lines fraying then breaking. I wash with fresh water after each session, a good hose down. The way I see some fellow kiters treat their bars on the beach they would definitely have issues and have. I think that...

I Like 22m line lengths.
44cm bar with 8m and 10m
52cm bar for 11m and 12m
60cm bar for 15m, 17m and 19m.

Re: Common Instructor Mistakes

I found the IKO Instructor course to be very thorough. The class, field activities and more importantly the manuals cover all crucial information. It's up to the new instructor to then take the responsibility seriously. It's then how you deliver that content to a student and then more importantly ho...
