Ocean update: So, after writing to Ocean, i received a reply within 24hrs asking for a photo of the damage and another 24hrs after sending them one i have received a reply saying that they will send me a brand new pair anywhere in the world. Ok, so 6 months ago i shelled out 65€ for a pair of Ocean watersport sunglasses (not exactly sure which model) and assumed that, being a well-known brand and having paid this much for them, they would be at least well-constructed. Another option for self-launch if there is nothing to attach your carabiner to, is the sand-bag method. Basically you fill your kitebag with sand (or have a dedicated sandbag) and use that to attach your kite to for self-launch/landing. Depending on the strength of the wind you will need more or les...

Wow - 15 - 25 kn on a 12m DOS - that is some going - the 12m normally drags me off the water on my surfboard around 17 18kn ... :o We found 12 m 8m a bit too big a jump and there was a gap - but with your weight you should be ok ! You will easily get on an 8m around 18 /19 kn ... The best DOS quive...

Hi I live in Nouakchott, Mauritania, 'just' up the coast from Accra though i'm afraid i haven't got any good info on Accra kiting but will ask around here to see if anyone knows anything. Mauritania is great for wind though the water is a little choppy but we have a 750km coastline and about 15 kite...

PS. 3 of the last 6 days we had wind in the order of 20 knots!!! Not sure what is happening... Strange year... Bye Jankie I just got back from Bali and had no wind...must have just missed it :( We are also having some bizarre (but very good :D ) wind here in Mauritania (west africa)...cant imagine ...
