Anyone knows/ever been in San Andres Colombia?

Hi there, i'll be going to Colombia in August, and i'll also spend about a week in the island of San Andres. There's very little info on the net, but i know kiting is possible there. Anyone has experience or knows anything? To be clear, i'm not going on a kite-trip and won't be taking my equipment, ...

This Summer - Where to go for flat water

Dears, i'm looking for suggestions for a kite trip for this August. After going to Coche this winter, i fell in love with flat-water conditions...and definetly want some more! So...where to go in the world? If possible, i'd like to be in a place with some sort of nightlife/partying. I might be force...

Easy one (in theory...) - how to go big air

Dear all, summer is approaching and so the kiting season...so i'm mentally prepping up. I'm an old-school style fan, and just started doing some rather decently sized jumps. I'm a lot into big air, board offs, etc. (well...im a wannabe :-)), and currently trying to consistently go high and floaty. S...

Re: Ski/snowboarding more dangerous?

Gut feeling i would say that skiing has, in absolute numbers a higher percentage of injuries. But if you were to weigh in the seriousness of incidents, then kiting is probably more dangerous. I'm obviously talking "incidents" from distortions-up...if i am to factor the overall punishment of the spor...

Re: Venezuela currency - may be a deal?

wow! I've never been - I had a trip planned there last Feb but had to cancel last minute... I remember researching it and a couple pros had Coche listed as a favorite spot anywhere. I'm still very tempted by Los Roques. Los Roques should be a very different league. We tried everything we could to g...

Re: Venezuela currency - may be a deal?

Just returned from a 2 weeks trip there, in Isla Margarita, where there are basically two spots: El Yaque (completely sucks), and Isla Coche (one of the world's best spots). Let me just say that what i know is that i'll never, ever, ever, ever want to go back to Venezuela. The place is a total abso...

Re: Venezuela currency - may be a deal?

" On Friday, Chavez intentionally increased the exchange rate for the Venezuelan bolivar from 2.15 to 4.3 per dollar. " .. I pulled this off a business report about how the nutcase is attempting to nationalize Toyota. Were there not some kite places that were quite popular a few years ago? Jim Just...

Re: Board suggestion for beginner

Thanks for the advices!

After digging a bit, i'm thinking about a Nobile T5 2009, 134x41, which i might be able to get used for a fair price.

What do you think?

Ciao,

Vanni

Board suggestion for beginner

Dears, I’m writing to get some input on board choice. I am a beginner starting to consistently staying upwind and landing first jumps. I’m interested in freestyle/freeride, and about to leave for a long 15 days kite-trip in Brazil. I will be facing an average 20-30 knots, and will be there with my W...
