Re: End of July / beginning of August reco?

Hi everyone, I am looking for destination recommendations for end of July and the beginning of August. I am taking two weeks off, and I wanted to explore new spots. Ideally I would like to stay at a hotel right on or near the spot, so I don't have to drive. Ideally it would be a place easy to get t...

Re: Stupid question - what does overpowered feel like?

Let me add that there is obviously not a universal "knots to weight to kite size" overpowered formula. A lot of it comes down to skill, an expert rider will be able to be in control and be "fully powered" in much more wind than a beginner, all else being equal. Like i'd need to be on 3m kite to be i...

Re: The ideal kite for oldschool style?

Hi I'm looking to get upgrade to the next level, started to do some oldschool trick like bacroll-kiteloop, hand drag-loop, dark slide and more.. What kite is the best for that? I am thinking about Dice or Evo, which kite should answer my goals? Among Dice and Evo there is absolutely no possible dou...

Re: Video: Nick Jacobsen going wild in a hotel pool

I don't know, when i see Lenten stuff like the last vid in Iceland i'm all like "this guy is a legend doing legendary stuff: he's an hero". When i see someone doing this stuff in such an environment i just come to think that he is a guy with exceptional skill unfortunately coupled with an exceptiona...

Re: all kite reviews are garbage. What really matters.

The only review that count is how you personally feel a kite relatively to your own style and preferences.
All the rest is BS, including stating what a good kite should or should not have.

(except maybe for construction quality, that is the only objective parameter).

Re: Stupid question to Hooked in Boosters on Pop

The principle of pop is exactly the same hooked and sending as unhooked and doing handle passes. The purpose of pop in an unhooked trick is to convert as much of your speed into height as possible. This gives you time to do your trick and the bigger you can do it the better. The purpose of pop in s...

Stupid question to Hooked in Boosters on Pop

Dears, i got a basic question for hooked in boosting that i never really "solved". I'm at a stage in which the real difference between a good jump and a mega jump is, in my case, all about the pop. Now: a pop for for hooked in, sent jumps, should technically be the same as a pop for an un-hooked tri...
