Re: Hydrofoil stiffness & fuselage connections

The new Slingshot carbon mast will be interesting but I’ve only seen snippets of info. Supposed to be full HM carbon, double moulded and possibly hollow.

Re: Which small kite ?

4 mtr Ozone Uno works well for me on a 1000 sqcm wing at 80 kg in anything over 16 knots.

Re: kitebar center hole alternative

I was going to build a bar using this idea, even bought the bits. But decided against it due to the possible damage caused to the rail of the board if dragged over the board in a crash. I can imagine that ring hitting the rail at speed would go straight through.

Re: The Advanced Underappreciated Trick to Master!

Jellyfish, that’s the reason we try this trick here, nothing like dragging through a school of blue blubbers to get back to your foil

Re: Hydrofoil Fuselage Corrosion and a Sacrificial Anode

Tefgel will solve you galvanic corrosion problem between your screws and alloy parts but not the areas you are talking about. I just use marine grease, cover all the joins where rinsing after use doesn’t get to. Disassemble every two weeks, quick rinse, regrease then assemble. Never had a corrosion ...

Re: How to build a bar? Just the rod/pole item ~60cm. Anyone done it?

I have found MTB handle bars a good option to build a bar from. Strong, cheap and the centre thickened section perfect for glueing in a nylon block.
I just haven’t worked out a good bar end yet, these are North ends, fit perfectly.

Re: thin profile & low volume combination?

Take care when attaching alloy foils to min volume boards, might not float. And are bloody hard to find as they sit so low in the water.
