Re: Weird sensation boosting

Sounds like you are experiencing ridge lift.

Side note. Kiting close to structures/cliffs is dangerous as f*** on a 15m in 20-25 knots. Stop that behaviour asap. You will die.

Re: Use a wavekite with a twintip?

A wave kite works in high winds but its more safe and not as much fire boosting fun. Want save and predictable then go wave. Want more wang in your jumps then look at mid aspect do it all kite.

Re: Switching from foil kite to high aspect LEI kite. Worth or not?

Yes lei will be the solution to the challenges you list. Look at an ozone edge. They are the closest to a foils performance in lei form. Honorable mention the North Rebel. I fine the rebel super smooth and really good in the gusts but its lacks a bit of fire. Edge is more dynamic and has more of the...

Re: does a foil carve or pivot?

I'm getting good solid carves.

I'm thinking experience thing. You need to get more aggressive and faster and commit with more leaning. Plus reduce kite size. If you are over powered its harder to carve. Go with under power and then more aggressive kite flying and foil riding.

Re: Build an own stabilizer?

Yup, agree with the k I s s posts above. Easiest is a pice of g10...sand it to shape, drill holes, done. But material is fairly expensive. Fairly cheap for a small stab I think. Especially because I don't need no laminating if I understood it right. Just remember that if you go completely flat you ...

Re: foil cavitating, ventilating, broaching, solution

I wish I have made a longer mast. Mine is 90cm. I have to be constantly vigilant with descent swell and wind chop. Rode a longer master a couple of weeks ago and it was bliss.

That said. Ride the foil deeper, board closer the water, The bigger/steeper the troughs the deeper you ride.

Re: Flat or curved kite for insane wind days

You have to fly C kite and or hybrid C kites differently to high aspect sle's. It is true that a C will drop you like a stone. But you let it, hold the kite back and then throw a fast hard send across the zenith and down in front of you to get a pollowy landing.... Or throw a downloop or 2. Kite spe...

I'm not surprised however. It was obvious that he was a good designer but not a good businessman.
