Screw the custom board makers, I couldn't care less about them, let alone the big gun board makers, I can make my own board to spec for way less $$$. No way many could afford to do otherwise. Every board should be weighed in and dimension checked at event - it is that simple, regardless of who made ...

i been launching unhooked for years no problems. Jeez if i rode a kite with pulleys and bridles (I don't much), after what i have seen (knocked clean out at launch, head pile driven into beach, with kiteloop bridle wrap) i think it would be a good idea. air to fakie - cool idea - gotta be possible - you would have to kind of alley oop it a bit then switch it around on teh way down the transition - eeer i mean wave face lol

there are 2 good reasons right there - leashes and keepin u warm! It was a protec that fucked my friend up - back of helmet compressed his spine on impact. Nice waves.

Personal choice. Safety gear is too often used to justify bad choices/inexperience by both riders and kiteschools. Nearly every bad accident has a bad choice behind it. Kiteschools are worst as they have to balance up $$ vs safety with pressure to teach in unsuitable conditions and at unsuitable loc...
