Re: Peak4 vs Shaman2

Verkiter, If you are in Champlain/Burlington area, you're only 3hrs away from me in North Conway. Maybe closer depending on where I am at the time. We will have the Peak 4 in our demo fleet and for sale. https://www.hardwaterkiter.com/store/p79/Flysurfer_Peak_4_4m_COMING_SOON.html We will also have ...

Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

Essentially a Charger 2 with lighter materials. Not much has been said likely due to fading interest in Arc designs.

There was an arc that matched LEI perfomance. The Charger 1. But it was too much performance for most arc fans and the production issues just made a lot of people walk away.

IMO.

Re: How often do you get chased by dogs?

Some lakes here seem to attract a certain element of idiots for ice fishing who let their dogs run loose. Some meathead types from the southern end of the state. On those lakes, it's usually once or twice a season. I had to jump a shepard, this season. He jumped too, almost got me. I came down, turne...

Re: Video of Ram Air Inversion DISASTER

A little more effort on the pilot's behalf (an over bar yank the left leader at 1:22) would go a long way towards avoiding such horrible, horrible disasters.

Re: Temperature and edging on ice.

http://www.hardwaterkiter.com/uploads/5/9/9/5/5995762/today_orig.jpg Did a 50 mile tour today. Top speed was 62mph. Ice was boilerplate and most of it was the total ski killing type. Not smooth and not fun at speed. Found a vein of white slush ice about 3 miles long that was smooth enough to let it...

Re: Temperature and edging on ice.

Thanks. how fast do you ride on ice? 40+ mph? wonder if that matters I've pushed a bit past 40mph once or twice. Until recently there were no kite specific skis available. Skis made for lift access were never intended to endure what they get on the kite. Especially on hard surfaces. I have some kit...

Re: Temperature and edging on ice.

yeah the ice was pretty soft yesterday. I like hard ice better to be honest, it's better for my iceboard. I made a new iceboard, simple mounted hockey blades on a skateboard. Was out yesterday until after dark. Two meter conditions :-) https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4627/26004954698_aa91bc982d_b.jp...
