Re: New to Kiteboarding - Kahoona vs Waroo?

if you are looking for a lightwind kite the kahoona is great, but i hear it really drags you downwind....I hear the v3 is much improved in the upwind ability area though for the larger sizes. I sold my kahoona 13.5 because I hate walking up the beach.

Re: Switch Combat - World Class 'C'

I just want to know what are the big sizes for the method. I'm looking for something to go from 8-22 knots using a lightwind board and highwind board at 165lbs.

would a pull pull bar like the best bar work with these kites?

So is this simply a center flagging line with bungee in it?[/quote]

Yes, it is the center flagging line, but it looks like an extension of the line just more flexy if that makes sense.

Re: 2011 kite bar specs- input welcome

Yea the best bar DOES have the bungie line that secures the lines (it's in the floats) The bungee shockchord is used when you use the QR and it lessens the shock on your body upon activating in conjunction with your safety leash. I saw it on Airush's bar and the Best Bar, but not on the Ocean Rodeo ...

Re: 2011 kite bar specs- input welcome

this is cool, I really wish manufacturers were more honest about the line strength since only like 3 report what the line strength is. I wish they also stated the aspect ratios for kites as well, but thats another discussion. What is a bungie retainer though? Is this whether they have a bungie shock...

Re: Best Light Wind Inflatable 2011

You know what I want in a light wind inflatable...I'd like a 4 strut kite made of uber light materials with no one pump. I'd like the aspect to be somewhere between low and medium, more medium so as to give somewhat pretty good upwindability. Yet, I want it to be super stable and jump decently. Now ...

Re: Advance technic to bail out in air loft .

Thanks for taking the time to create that, I didn't know that about the kiteloops, but I do know to always ask and know about the area and check for the threat of severe winds.

Re: Accident in race Wissa 2011 Finland

I think it's the opposite, the person going upwind (who has more options to change course) should give way to the person going downwind (the person filming) who has less options.

Re: High wind small kite with low wind stability

Hey thanks voodoo I think that is the type of info I was looking for. A smaller aspect kite is what I was thinking of that sits farther back in the window. Do you have a list from different manufacturers that you know of? The Ocean Rodeos just shoot to the windows edge and thus tend to fall out of t...
