Re: Airush Union 2017

Boosting on 2017 was good - very easy infact. Not many holes you can dig with them. Like lithium but sharper and higher, without any potential probs.. It's a great kite. And yes - on offer it's a good buy. 2018 is different - a bit more piloting required, so more technical than lithium. I'd also say...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

I'm another UK rider - as like John above we've had the Union for a month or so, Kiteworld have had a 9 for a good few weeks to - test coming out in the new issue. But Just thought I would add what we've (myself and some of our riders) found in our first few sessions with the 9 and 12. I know that t...

Re: Airush Union 2017

Hi Chap, The 2017 is a really nice bit of kit. 2016 was quite light in the hands and felw best with a light touch, as such it was quite a way from the Lithium in turns of feel. 2017 is tighter, but requires a firmer hand and as such it's very much like a Lithium but on steroids. It's a great kite fo...

Re: Torn on what to buy

We have had a really good year on the Union's I used to use a lot of different kites from the airush range in our demo quiver - Wave, Razor and VX, but find myself using the Union pretty much all the time. I thought the razor was jumping higher but Woo tells me otherwise, and the handling on a wave,...

Re: 2017 Airush Core Collection Launch

As the UK Airush Importer I can say that in 5 years we have had the load frame I have only seen it breached in one panel on one kite. Compared to normal kites that is zero front to back splits on impact. Sure you can burst le's and rip struts off, but canopy? Now not possible to split. That is a mas...

Re: Which to buy: North Dice vs. Airush Union vs. Best TS

I'm shopping my-self for a new 12m kite of this type and the only one I was able to try so far - was the Union 2016. I really liked how it handles and especially - the low end, but there were 2 major cons: 1-bar pressure, which is very high 2-if you're used to flying kites that feel very direct - y...

Re: Shinn Turbo

the board still tracks reasonably well on smaller fins, but to get the solidity and trust of the rail through the turns the 57mm fins are needed. 52 will make a little less trusting and 43 will make it squirrely. Obs the smaller the fin the easier it is to change stance without hopping.

Re: Monk / TT techniques

Shinn is one of the most advanced board ranges out there - certainly when engineering flex for choppy real world conditions. For sure, people who are contest level freestylers and those who ride short sessions in butter flat conditions, they will love boards with limited flex and channels galore... ...

Re: Shinn El Stubbo

we get the first production ones in the UK next week. I hear Mark prefers the stubbo to the shinnster which says something - but he always loved skimboards too... The board sounds like it has different characters with different fin combos (comes stock with 4x57 fins) edit - some of the UK guys tried...

Re: Shinn "Bite" fins made of nylon? Longevity with abuse?

In the UK we have some G10 ones left, but Bite are Nylon.
The Nylon fins are harder wearing as far as abrasion on sand and rocks go. We've not had any problems with stripping in the UK that I know of, but I can imagine they are easier to strip. They are also, I would add, significantly lighter..
