Re: What to replace enduros with?

The Enduro is excellent kite unhooked you can do mobes, slim chance, anything, it generates excellent slack, powers correctly through a megaloop, so my opinion is if you want something that generates even more pop and more slack your only option is a C kite. The best performing C kite on the market ...

Re: Leaving the pump in a hot car during the summer on a regular basis

while pumping the shaft and seals can get over 100F (38f) just from compression of air heating it up, so they are supposed to tolerate heat. If the pump fails from the heat of a car it's also going to fail when you pump up your kite too fast. Kites are a different matter and will not tolerate heat b...

Re: boxer looping

Sell it and switch the Pivot. Can't really do anything about how much power that kite generates in a loop.

Just my opinion.

Re: Foot pad screws?

all kiteboards with inserts are using the snowboard inserts which is sized at m6, the only difference is the length of the screw. So measure one of your other screws, go to the hardware store and buy a bolt that same length that's m6. yes it's standardized.

Re: Hatteras - downwinder guides

I've walked out of the planet of the apes before don't suggest it lol. I also highly suggest kiting with a girl if you can, she gets rides in about 30 seconds at most. Remember you are in OBX!!! Make friends with kiters, there is zero reason that you ever need to solo a downwinder. I did 4 or so dow...

Re: Self launch and self land option

You can hot launch nearly every foil kite even when it's nuking. The reason is simple, when the foil kite is filling up with air it has no power. so just hot launch it, and the kite will just flap around in the air without power. To land, if you have the 5th line attached, you can just pull the QR. ...

don't forget to sit on your hydrofoil when you relaunch. It's the only way to get enough resistance against the wind.

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

Can you talk more about this center/rear lines trick? I gues there is something to do with keeping the tension on the lines otherwise it may stall during a messed up turn. No it's something else entirely. If you have ever owned a 2005 era C kite you will know about the 5th line relaunch. To do this...

Re: mad crash on a foil

What happened in this case is the foil spin around the Z axis and the mast got trapped inside the lines. The line isn't actually wrapped all the way around the mast it is stretched around half of it, so of course it makes the kite loop. If you notice it in time you can grab the opposite side leader ...

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

only a foil will launch when the winds drop below 5 knots. I find the tube kites are much the same, has to be enough wind to get them up so it's better to never crash them in the first place. Once you know the inner center line outer rear line trick, it's more about how much the tube kite weighs tha...
