Re: Slingshot Apollo 60 wing

Curious about the difference between the Apollo wing and the 633? I currently ride the 633 and love it. But one thing thatholds me back is fear of falling on the sharp wings. I’m wondering if it’d be worth buying an Apollo for simply learning new foiling skills. I’ve already had a couple war wounds ...

Re: Which is better for heavy weight rider Evo or Rebel ?

Dude, the rebel is calling your name. You won’t be disappointed. But to be sure, it’s always best to demo if you have the option. But as the above poster mentioned, you’d probably be fine with either. I still occasionally see some big, strong peeps buckle the 3 struts under big load. Have fun!

Re: SPI Foiling

I've been to SPI maybe a dozen times, foiling there the last 5 years with a 76 cm mast in the bay. Every year I go, I have great plans to kite the gulf side but end up going to the bay since the wind was so much stronger there. Southerly gulf side winds have disappointed. But if a northerly blows th...

Re: F-one Bandit or Duotone Rebel/Evo ?

Rebel- absolutely awesome jumper, but the bar pressure is just too much for me. I got tendonitis after borrowing one for a weekend in the waves. Not ideal for wave riding when you need to move the kite a lot. But with 5 struts could be a great kite to support heavier peeps. If jumping is your thing,...

Re: Moses 2019

I’ve been on a 633/DC 4’6” for over a year and not even set all the way back. My fav position is set at 1.5 on the track. And that would be with 2 front straps set all the way forward. Super, enjoyable setup. Cheers!

Re: Moto, Evo or Pivot ?

Tried them all. All good. Take the one with the best bro deal you can get. Moto good at lots but not great at any. Evo smooth and jumpy but not that exciting. Pivot a fun surf and jump kite that can quickly get overpowered. But kites that are really great at something usually suck at other things. E...

Back to the thread:
SlingShot "Switch Blade"?
It’s definitely similar to other kites out there. But a switchblade? No. Looks like higher aspect to me

Re: F-One bladder issues (again :( )

I still heavily use my bandits (versions seven and eight)with little wear other than replacing the bar. Probably about 300 days between them all- 8/10/12. No bladder issues. While your kites may not have been used much, I think they lived a hard life prior, being stored poorly. Sorry you had to get ...
