Topic: New windsurf speed records today... 49 kts!

I was in contact with a guy that is trying to set speed records on snow. I'd been measured to 140 km\t with a kite. He wanted to modify the X10 for higher speed. 140 km\t...that is fast. Does anybody know what the record is?

in austalia the maximum u can get is SPF30+ y is that? :-? As far is I know there isn't a big difference between 15 and 30 because we are so much in the water the sunscreen will come off. We should re-apply the sunscreen even if it says we don't need to. I think super high spf gives a false sense o...

WHat is it that you don't like about the bar? I have one on order and I am curious what it is that you dont like.

Many different brands have spinning bars, amongst others Slingshot (I have one and I like it).

When I took a private lesson, the Instructor told me to go upwind I should put more weight to the front of the board to keep a nice edge and go upwind. When I put too much pressure with the back leg I tend to get bogged down, but when I distribute the weight evenly on the board it works. Anybody kn...

My initial thought was that you have too big a board..but that does not seem to be the case. Got to go with the others here...lean back not as to sit, but as you are falling backwards... also remember to put weight on your heels, and not to have your feet parallell with the surface...and then almost...

Guys

Thank you all for the help, I got out, I got to use my repaired leading edge bladder and I am sooo happy!!! I've been out 5 times on it already. Now this is what kiteforum is for, not all the brand bitching!!!

Again, thank you so much for the help.

IT depends. For instance only because the kite says it is 11 m2, does not mean that the producers are true to the size. My 14 meter is WAY bigger than another brand's 14 meter (both are 'actual' size). Secondly kites have a different surface the wind 'hits'. Without the center strut, it seems like t...

Well I do think that TB has a point here. I kinda like to mix and match my equipment (although I for some reason seems to be getting more cheaper kites), but I think that he has a point...numbers can be added differently. It really depends on the premise.
