Re: 2 Noob Questions for Buying

Bigwave, since you've ridden lots of them, how much of a difference does the weight make? I picked up a slingshot at the beach and was blown away by how heavy it was. The fuselage seems super heavy. Peter Hi Peter, The weight of the Slingshot on the water translates into stability. The foil feels s...

Re: 2 Noob Questions for Buying

Measured the track distances - 90mm. One of the local kite shops said they'd sell me the Cabrinha foil for $899, and the Slingshot for $799. Both 2017 models. Can't seem to find out what the differences are in the 2017 models versus the 2016 so not sure they are much better than the reviews I've be...

Re: Anybody tested cabrinha fireball

I have also used the Fireball since August. I have used it foiling and on my surfboard . Used it on the Dakine C-1 and a Ride Engine Elite. Very nice system which I have not found any performance issues. Hook launching is no problem, using a larks head and carabiner. I think it makes the harness fee...

Re: No Bias Review of the Cabrinha Apollo 16m

Have you tried any relaunch scenarios? Deepwater/shallow water? Does it create huge amounts of power when moved around and looped like a foilkite? How light can the wind be before you have to loop it to water start versus a normal "11 to 3" power stroke? Does it self-launch easily or does the LE st...

Re: Input re: Alex Aguera Foilboards needed

I am pretty new to foiling and rode the Alex Aguera with the all around wings in Maui. While it felt good to me, I have no basis of comparison. I would greatly appreciate any feedback from people who have ridden the Aguera foils--I am looking for a good user friendly setup that can grow with me--no...

Re: Any Dwarfcraft reviews?

And how about for the fuller figured rider? Alien Air still too big? The Alien Air is a great choice. If your a bigger guy the Dwarfcraft 54 will seem quite small at first. The Alien Air is better in light air and is more forgiving for on the water transitions. Unless you have short arms, it pretty...

Re: Hover Glide or Zeeko B&W

not quite as easy to ride, but good for learning anyways. Can you explain that, please? I have used the Slingshot Hover Glide and The Zeeko White and Blue Foil. The Hover Glide is pretty heavy with most of that weight is the front wing. Its a rather large wing that generates lots of lift. It pops u...

I have used the Slingshot Hover Glide and The Zeeko White and Blue Foil. The Hover Glide is pretty heavy with most of that weight is the front wing. Re: Cabrinha Apollo

I had my first session today using the Apollo 10m. Riding the Shinn Shinnster /Zeeko Blue Aluminum. Wind range 12-18kts. The kite was very impressive. More to come.
