Re: Drilling and tapping aluminum fuselage

Which kind of aluminum? 6061? Wondering if it’s worth it to pay extra for 7075 for extra strength. Both 6061-T6 , and 7075. 6061 -T6 is a bit more ductile than 7075 ; it will give a bit more than 7075 , before it breaks. Also , if you do bend a rod made from 6061 ; you can bend it back, but 7075 wi...

Yes --- and i also bet that Jesse had a back-Up reserve parachute , hidden away under his jacket. It's OK to do stunts like this ; as long as the "VIEWER" reali...

It's the mile-long cut n paste joke that has worn so very thin. Regular posts are fine.
I agree ! :thumb:

His alter-EGO , can fly a foil, as well as the best on this forum ; there
is a lot we could learn from his many years with a ram-air kite.

Re: @ Toby - the new foil kites forum

PMU rather Enjoys , pissing people off ; he posted on page 3 of the topic
(sea anchor!) , and immediately drew criticism.

It's your forum , your decision ; but why let the bastard just
make people mad ? And he will , if you let him post on this forum.

Re: Drilling and tapping aluminum fuselage

I drill and tap aluminum a Lot , with my sailboat ; i use aluminum tapping fluid, to keep the aluminum from sticking to the drill or tap. https://www.google.com/search?q=aluminum+tapping+fluid&rlz=1CAACAC_enUS835&oq=aluminum+tapp&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0j69i61j0l3.12394j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Also...

Re: A15ME for a heavier guy

I thanked , everyone who bothered to post an answer ; different prospective-s , help make a decision, and ALL opinions are worth considering !! Last time i was in a 35 gust 40-mph wind ; i started with a 2009 11m Edge which could handle the wind cause the LE is way smaller diameter than the newer Ed...

A15ME for a heavier guy

*I weigh 205 to 210 Lb , (94kg) * I use 140 TT and 5'5" swallow tip directional, for kiting. *I can expect a wind change of 14-28-mph , ( 12 to 25 knots) ; and that's gonna happen about 4 to 7 times a day on East Lake Mead , and Lake Mohave. I don't want 2 different kites for typical day use. My 13m...

My biggest problem with sunglasses is that the polarisation takes away ability to read the water surface.
...
Is there a such thing as : " just a little bit of polarization ; like 1/2 of normal" ?

Yes -- i'm ignorant , of how this works.
