Re: clearwater hydrofoil kit $125

I bought 2 wings that were fibre glassed. Very light and very good value. I strapped them to a DIY alu mast and fuselage and will try this weekend.
Very quick to respond to emails.

Clearwater Creations 2016 foil

Is there anyone who has experience with the Clearwater Creations 2016 foil. I bought some wings from James for my DIY aly mast and fuselage.
Would be nice to know whether someone is kiting and using this foil. James Fiore has some videos on You Tube

Converting race board to hydrofoil board

I have a NJS SF6 raceboard in the shed that I do not use anymore. Would it be ok to epoxy two sliders in and use this as an hydrofoil board. Length is 169 width 70cm and of course nice and meaty thick. the rails are pretty sharp and the board has a reasonable front rocker but the back is pretty flat...

If this was a genuine carafino would it be good for a beginner?

Re: How big is Kite Hydrofoiling?

How big is hydrofoiling. Not really that big. Where I kite there are only a few. I think the cost and the very steep learning curve is putting people off. I have tried to make a DIY twin tip bi directional hydrofoil. I beefed up my twin tip with a bit of carbon and drilled 4 holes. Made a strut (mas...

What happened to DIY

What happened to topics about self builds. It looks like everyone is now only interested in sharing experiences about new products. I would love to see some more extreme home build foils and boards and especially see them in action on the water.

Re: Light Wind - Silent Pleasure c",)

Is your board a 2010 North? How did you attach your foil. It looks like a tuttle box system. Have you got any photo's of how you made the modification to your board for the attachment of the foil?

Re: Where to place sliders (fin boxes) on wooden board

what happens if the foil attachment is very close to the back of the board as suggested by Hawaiis. There is a reasonable amount of adjustment in the sliders say roughly 120 mm. I just want to be safe and put the sliders to give me enough adjustment forward and backwards for any type of wings I will...

Where to place sliders (fin boxes) on wooden board

I am trying to find out where to insert the fin boxes (sliders) 30 cm long on my Paulownia boad. The dimensions of the board are 150 x 52 cm. I have a moderate amount of rocker starting at 1m from the back of the board. My plate holes are 165 x 90 mm so there is a good amount of adjustment. I also w...
