Re: Camet Foilboards - a few pics

Hi Brian, Thanks for your fast reply. I should have been a bit more specific. I am building a wooden hydrofoil kite board. It is basically flat for 1 m from the back and then has probably 9 cm of rocker to the front. I am referring to the fin boxes or sliders like in your boards (Yellow file 0079). ...

Re: Camet Foilboards - a few pics

Hi Nice looking boards. I am building a wooden board and would like to ask for your advice. I want to insert two 30 cm fin boxes but would like to know where to place them. The board dimensions are 150 x 52. Keen to know how far from the back I should place the back of the fin boxes. I don't have in...

home made hydrofoil video

Why can't I find a lot of home made hydrofoils actually foiling in the water.

I have looked on You Tube but could only find one or two home made foils.

Would be great to see some primitive design in action.

Re: Titanium Foil

does this mean you are not working on it anymore.

I watched some of your videos and I am sure a lot of budding hydrofoilers would love to start on a bi directional before they progress to a directional one.

Re: Titanium Foil

Hi hawaiss, Have you dropped the development of the bi directional hydrofoil? I have not had much opportunity lately to go kiting and have only been on the water twice with my contraption. I am at the stage of gettting on the board and riding without the board lifting. I found one direction a lot ea...

Interesting. They advise beginners to wear a helmet, impact vest etc and in the video none of those.

Re: twin tip hydrofoil

Revhed, Thanks for the photo's. I had 2 spare old twin tip fins that I have cut down to fit on to the fuselage. I will put the little fins on the top of the outer wings to see whether that will give me a bit better straight line stability. They will be above the outer wings so I won't break them if ...

Re: twin tip hydrofoil

Revhed. My question was do I need to bolt some vertical fins to my front and back wing to tame down the yaw instability? Since you have experience with bi directional you may be able to suggest a solution. I had a good look at the Hawaiis video and he seems to be tracking straight. My foot straps we...
