Re: The biggest tube kite on the market, 21 mts

How does the xlw compare to the zephyr? I would also be very interested in such comparison. Judging from the size, the 21m is a step further in the light wind realm. There are few things that I do not like about Zephyr: in light wind it becomes really slow-turning, it is also hard to relaunch if th...

Re: Beginner Kiter - Kite Advice

+1 for Catalyst. I am using it often, it is very well-behaved, smooth, controllable and well-built.

Re: Low wind specs 14m Evo, Catalyst and RPM Need to choose

The wind range table used by Ozone is confusing, the "full power" column is usually closest to what we would use in reality. The kite may fly in 7 knots but it will not pull (unless you are on skates and on smooth ice). In practice 14m Evo and Catalyst will have about the same bottom end, I would sa...

Re: Naish Bullet - any feedback on this board?

From the picture of the board it appears that it has the 3 footstrap option - a nice surprise; this is not obvious from the Naish website (wish they had more detailed information about their boards). But from the second picture it looks that only 2 footstraps are supplied with the board. Does anybod...

Re: Ozone Catalyst 10m vs Switchblade 10m Bottom end perform

I can't comment on Switchblade. I have a 10m Catalyst 2011 and the bottom-end performance is reasonable. The kite itself has 3 struts and is very light, so the kite itself flies very early. With my weight (75kg) on a twintip I can usually ride from about 7 m/s in flat water, from about 8 m/s in chop...

Re: Light wind Airush one 16M vs Fat Lady or other LW kites.

The Blade Fat Lady 17M looks like a good option, Blade kites says that the Fat Lady is fast "like a 12M". I only have experience with Ozone Zephyr. A few weeks ago I talked to a guy who is using also the Fat Lady and we discussed how it compares with Zephyr. He said the light wind potential for bot...

I have both Chopstick and X-Ride, in different sizes though. Chopstick is very nice and comfortable, I like how it behaves in chop or waves, I have had lots of fun with it. I rarely ride my X-Ride.
