The Boxer is absolutely perfect for foiling. Will get me some smaller versions soon.
I could not agree more. It is my favorite kite not only for foiling but for general surfboard/twintip riding as well.

Re: Foil kite comparison - which to buy?

From not-so-racey foil kites I can recommend HQ4 Matrixx (they also have a newer Empulse), they have good quality and are friendly. Previously I used a Chrono and did not like it so much.

Re: Light wind TT board length/width

I don't think 50cm is too wide, those large twintips/doors usually have footstraps offset closer to the heelside edge so edging is good enough. Also in light winds one does not edge so hard. I have an older 48cm wide twintip (I am 75kg), it is not hard to hold edge even when well-powered. I also hav...

Re: used 14m apollo or 12m gong strutless for LW foiling?

I much prefer light low aspect kites for hydrofoiling. It is much easier to use something that turns fast to get going and something light that stays in the air in low winds.

Re: Light wind board / kite suggestions?

There are several things that increase light wind capability: bigger and lighter kite (fast-turning kite is a bonus), longer kite lines, bigger and flatter board (or switching to a foil board, if you want to). If you want an inflatable kite, one strut kites in large sizes (16+) are a good option; fo...

Re: looking for a new Lightwind tubekite Help!

I'm looking for a new tube kite for hydrofoiling in marginal wind. I've been looking at Naish Boxer because I'm using Naish for twintip. But since this kite is not sold in my home country, I can't try it before buying. I am looking for experiences with the boxer, I'm not sure if I should choose the...

I recently converted a surfboard to a foilboard, added stringers with brass barrel nuts.

Re: Xr5 15m lightwind? Or

There are plenty of wonderful one strut kites out there, they are perfect for light wind, if you want to stay with inflatables.
