Opinions/Reviews - 2014 Naish Global

Have a 2010 Naish Global 5'7. It's useful life may be one more season at best. Love the board. Wondering if anyone has any feedback on the 014's, compare-contrast? My 2010 is a quad and for better or worse, I like it's performance and wouldn't change a thing - smooth in chop, fast, controlled, and a...

Re: High wind surfboards

dimip, I can only comment on what I've rode and relative to my size - 70 kg / 154 lbs. I tried my buddy's 014 North Whip 5'7 19" width - In high(er) winds it rode fine. Easy cruiser. But I could ride my 2010 Naish Global 5'7 with more speed and control. The Naish is also better upwind. It all depend...

Re: Brands that have a presence on this forum

Ian you're attitude is sooo essential in the success of any business. Good for you!

I find it missing more often than not in the board sports like kiteboarding and windsurfing.

Re: What are the wekknesses of each kite brand

All except Switch have a bad business model. Maybe with a small and debatable exception of US we all pay ridiculous prices for equipment with lousy or better yet non existent customer service nor warranty. What Switch is doing is the way of the future for this particular sport and that is take less...

Re: High wind surfboards

I came across a 2010 Naish Global 5'7 in very good condition and just had to buy it. After a few sessions in 15-25 mph winds I'm impressed. Smoooth! At least compared to my bigger Airush Cypher 5'6 in higher winds and chop. Control is also excellent. It took me a session to get used to riding it (tr...

Re: Airush Wave 9 meter - Impressions

Wave Too expense in relation to what ... Other expensive kites? Compared to my Switch kites that cost half as much but have the same quality as airush. Did you actually pay retail for the kite you reviewed? If so you are either rich or stupid. No "Bob" I bought my kite on closeout...

Re: Seat harness and bad form?

Balls crushing? Never an issue Bob, not ever. Maybe I learned how to use a seat harness on my windsurfing "race board".

Re: Seat harness and bad form?

Seat harnesses are more comfortable that waist? What bullshit. Stick with a waist. Switching back and forth is the dumbest idea ever. Brilliant! And all this time I had it wrong. I really was more comfortable in my waist harness (boardshorts harness) after all. It would appear that you have "the an...
