From what I've heard Viva Wyndham Tangerine in the DR fits your needs.

Re: Swim in with a Peak

I wear a strap with a plastic snap buckle around my waist (I wear a seat harness so it can't fall off). If I have to swim (or a long walk) I use the strap to wrap up the kite.

Re: The Duotone Wing

the flying transition was impressive. I don't get what's impressive about that transition, it was a simple toeside to healside carve from an professional SUP foiler who used to be a professional kitesurfer, no foot switch, just a downwind carve. from Tomo's Bio: I was Professional Kite surfer from ...

Re: Do Kite Bags Suck?

Another vote of confidence here in Ocean Rodeo's Sherpa bags, they are legit.

Question for Peak 4 for users. Favorite self landing method? Thanks
Definitely edge of the window, reach above the Y and grab the lower line (opposite of a LEI self land) and yank in 2m or so as seen here.

Even in light winds I find it hard to backstall land as you can see here

Re: Teaching kids with the Peak 4

What size was the kite? Peak 4 5m on 22m lines. but it would be nicer if the kid was wearing a helmet Why though? I actually have a water sports helmet for him but chose not to use it in this scenario. We are in shallow water with 500m of clear downwind water, there are no hard obstacles for his he...

Re: Teaching kids with the Peak 4

Yeah pretty much. I think you could probably hold ground on the Peak 4 at his weight so once he's at that point I'll switch him over to the LF Solo for better upwind and boosting. Keeping the Solo in the air in 8 knots take a fair bit of kite flying skill knowing when to loop and such while keeping ...

Re: looking for a new Lightwind tubekite Help!

If you really want to go that low wind with an LEI you should get the biggest BRM Cloud. Also understand that if you drop the kite you swim. I would recommend going with a Peak 4 in 8m or 11m. Chances of dropping the kite are very low, but same swim if you do. EDIT: forgot to mention the 12m Gin Mar...

Teaching kids with the Peak 4

First time teaching with the Peak 4 and it delivered. I like to teach kids in sub 10 knots for safety and general comfort and tube kites aren't very responsive in these wind ranges. The Peak 4 is super easy to fly, even as low as 6 knots and provides a lot of low end grunt to yank you out of the wat...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I did my first lesson with the Peak 4 and have some more insights on relaunch to share. If you keep rear line tension when it hits the water you can reverse launch it okay. Trouble is if it gets too much water caught inside the leading edge trough then it just starts to pivot instead of reverse laun...
