At the time, my second time ever (first try under kite) on the foil behind the waverunner. hoverglide h5-18"mast simulator board. I think the second clip shows what happens when you give too much throttle.
Same day playing around with stalling. Not enough wind to get on the foil but could get my feet on the board and start a water start. Just not enough power to get up. The frame of these kites are very rigid.. the kite still twists for turning but doesnt flex like a jellyfish. Very light.. http://img...
Go carbon Took your, well "most" of your advice and went with the 633/483/91 (instead of the 683/679) and a Dwarfcraft 3'6". Love the 633. Had it out in around 10knots on an aluula roam 10m, then my flite 10m with wind at 12-14knots and the my 7m prodigy from 12-14knots down to 8 or 9knots. Did my ...
That's how I learnt. Itd fun. I started out at 15 mph on a slingshot h5 foil, short 18" mast, on a simulator board. Im 70kg for the record. With that giant board I need a very slow roll up to speed else the bar rip from my hands. Havent tried it with pocket boards..
I’m 72 kg and I have a 9m hyperlink v1 ultra light and it gets me going in 8kts but below that you have to pay attention to not making a mistake and losing line tension.
Does it depower well? Id love to get one, but would be limited to drift launches like horst sergio does.
My thinking is if wing foilers can get away without any lines with a 7m-9m wing (giant foil though) in 10-15knots (maybe less) wouldnt a 10m kite with short lines and a smaller foil, perhaps reach a happy medium? I understand by shorting the lines that Ill be sacrificing some performance.. curious o...
