Re: Please advice on the Carved Imperator 5 finish

Nice points in the last 2 posters and yes you got me, believe me they spend enough time here. You would think by now someone affiliated with Carved would post something? They advertise on this forum. If this was a North post Dan would be on it. FYI: I do not leave my board in the sun at all when no...

Re: Some Kiteloop question

I agree that after downloops backroll kiteloops are an easy next step but what is the difference between a backloop kiteloop and a backroll kiteloop? When doing a backroll/back loop transition you kill off most of your forward speed resulting in a lot less powered loop. Plus there is a lot more mar...

Re: can I screw boots to any board ?

the reason you are riding boots in the first place is because you want a more connected feel. Bindings give you that connected feel regardless of whether the boards shit or not, that is the nature of them. If you have a really floppy board then you might as well ride straps because you aren't reall...

Re: can I screw boots to any board ?

Sure it will work, but it will work bad: — increased load on a board — bad performance of the board Ok, how it will affect load ? Does it not rely on speed and power of your legs?( how much you press the board down before setting off ?) Dandaka's right and anyone within the industry will prob tell ...

Re: can I screw boots to any board ?

You can put boots on anything as longvas the hole patterns line up Yeah pretty much, it's not so much big air but bailing on powered tricks that'll pull your inserts. You may also put a bit of strain on it if it flex's too much under foot between the screw points of the bindings but as long as you ...

Re: lamination tape

both carbon and glass cloth can be sourced in narrow widths. 2"-6" wide 'tape' is common. the edges do not frey, but are a bit thicker than the rest of the material. if you put in beneath a top layer, it tends to trap air at the edge. if you put it on top, a bit of sanding is necessary to 'fair' th...
