Re: A detailed look at the game changes for the 2013 racing

3. The new penalty turn The previously used 360° penalty turn only required the hull to be in the water during the turn - with no gybe nor tack required. This penalty was not felt anymore to be appropriate for a breach of a rule of part 2 - right of way rules. The new penalty turn which is introduc...

Re: 2013 Cabrinha VMG Raceboard

Cool. I saw the 2012 boards are down to $600 now for board only (and straps I believe?) Plus $650 for fins, plus $100-$150 for shipping of board and fins and you're looking at $1400 for a board that is outdated and no one wants anymore :-? I'm too afraid to buy a used one for any more than $1000 an...

Sail Auckland Video

Nice video of Torrin schooling the competition at Sail Auckland. He's got to be the most well rounded kite boarder in the world, waves, freestyle, race. He does it all!

Re: riding off the wind...

If you are having problems going off the wind, start by using the Middle or Chicken strap, especially if it is windy or bumpy or you are new to raceboarding. Even the top Pros ride the middle strap when overpowered downwind. We are here in Baja and the other day we ran the Long distance race called...

Re: IKA new course racing equipment for 2013

But why havving this list as long as the equipment is following a box-rule ? This rule could also incl. weight of board (so a custom would have no advantage over a production, but I could be proud riding my own board) and the rule could aslo give the kite a box to fit (And I could use my mothers ho...
