Re: Ocean Rodeo Mako vs Nomad Wave TT

I have Nomad team wave tt 140x41. Use to ride Mako 150x40. Actually had two but wanted a another one with mutant option. Mako is heavier and more stiff and I found that it was not so easy on my knees and ankles. Mutant option I did not use very much. For pure carving Mako might be little bit better...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Mako vs Nomad Wave TT

Thanks for the input. I have the Mako and love it. I’mm tempted by the Nomad and have already contacted Simon. I was just testing if anyone has tried both. Wont be getting rid of the Mako. More a case of being indulgent

Re: Kiting Choppy Water

+1 for considering Nomad and Ocean Rodeo Mako.

I have the Mako and I find it smooth in chop.

Curious if anyone has experience riding both these boards and can share their insights?

Re: Rider feedback please - Rebel 2018 on 4 and 5 vs 2017

I’ve heard similar so have kept a few 2016 Rebels and got a couple of 2018 kites. Will keep me happy for a while. 2017 Evo on its way for fun. Just need to avoid all forms of North or Blade marketing for the next few years.

Re: Piq, Xensr or Woo?

Priceless example of someone asking a question, getting some useful responses before the thread gets sidetracked by some form of localism based on the science of ‘post count’ as an Indicator of some such rubbish or other. Same philosophy would ban beginners I suspect. Lol. I have a PiQ. I can’t jump...

Re: Rider feedback please - Rebel 2018 on 4 and 5 vs 2017

Nah, 2011 was a good year but really raw in power delivery. Righto some interesting feedback on the rebel changes. Looking forward to trying them back to back. Hope to hear your feedback great sage 🤙👍 - I’m especially keen to know whether the 5th line has any benefits; is it now just a depower feat...

Re: Rider feedback please - Rebel 2018 on 4 and 5 vs 2017

I thought the 2016 was the best year for the 5 line Rebel, 2017 was not as good. Hey rookie..it's too bad you were not kiting in 2011....that was the best performing Rebel year and the best looking also...i'm still riding the heck out of my 5 kites quiver Have fun with your new toys Good to hear. 2...

My buddy who is a regular on the Woo leaderboards just switched over to 2018 from 2017 Rebels and loves them. He actually posted his new personal best the other day of 48 feet. He also said the kite is noticeable faster and still has that Rebel feel..
Good to hear, thanks

Re: Rider feedback please - Rebel 2018 on 4 and 5 vs 2017

Finally rode and compared for two full days on the new 2018 and my 2016 Rebels 12 and 9 at OBX. (as well as a 2018 Neo). Being used to the 2016 Rebel, I was quite disappointed at first and thought the 5 line Rebel's "I'm going to grab you by the back of your shirt and throw you up in the sky" feeli...
