Re: What a piece of shit town

Toby, not sure this thread is about kitesurfing. It’s about slagging a town and it’s parking facilities. Boring. On that basis delete or close?

Re: Duotone customer service nightmare

I tried to get in touch with Duotone through their contact formula - no answer. I DM'ed Dan here in kiteforum - no answer. So frustrating if you need a spare part. I seriously consider switching kitebrand because this is very disappointing. Not sure what Duotone believes such behavior will do to th...

Re: Duotone 2021

Interesting vid of the ‘green and yellow mystery kite’ but the Duotone stealth marketing is wearing a bit thin now.

.and I don’t think Duotone are bringing out a kite called Porto as per the vid notes. Proto is probably more like it.

Fretting wear. Looks like the webbing inside the canopy that distributes the front line load is in contact and rubbing against the LE pocket.
Interesting and quite aggressive in the second photo. Not withstanding the OP care regime, what’s the most common cause and how to avoid.

Re: Does duck stance on TT wreck knees?

I had some helpful advice when I got a custom board as a 50th birthday gift to myself. I now have the pads on all my boards as (narrow stance) close as possible, feet pointing pretty straight, slightly more towards heel edge. I freeride and small boost. I’ve had knee problems in the past, I’m 52. Th...

Is Onda just a branding thing?

....is an Onda W633 same as Kit 72 W633? Same S483? Just branding for a previous season?

I don’t want to dismiss Onda if it’s a thing in its own right. Apologies If already raised and answered.

Soon the question becomes when do you ride a TT or surfboard?
And the answer might be

Only when the water isn’t deep enough to hydrofoil
Haha...good point; it caused me to TT today instead of foil....water was too shallow! Still, I had fun jumping.

When do you hydrofoil?

Do you hydrofoil all year around in all weathers or just through the summer months in lighter winds. It’s a bit stormy in the U.K. with big winds over the last few weeks and was wondering if hydrofoilers generally switch to TT or directional boards or keep on foiling. I don’t see any foilers this ti...
