and he also wrote: "the higher the Y the less responsive the kite turns" Now THAT sounds interesting! Yes indeed. Where his comments public somewhere? When I tested the Rebel 18, I used my 2011 bar. Might explain some things. 18 Had to go back to shop. Not enough time on it to write good review.

That is what I was trying to say to Westozzy. So on a loaded 5th, there can or should neverbe slack above the Y. Only on 4 line kite with 5th as safety.

Re: Airstyle kite size in 25 knots

Slack and tension on 5th is from the Y up to the kite. Hard to compare kites in different conditions when you are used and tested in my perfect conditions. In Brazil I have more fun on the Rebel than before. Easier to compare now to what I tested before. If you have a Rebel 18, try it also with lon...

Need help to convert 2012 north bar with ml to front line

I have been reading up on older treads about this subject. I thought it was possible to convert the North bar for use on a frontline line flagging safety kite, WITHOUT compromising safety, freedom to rotated and the use of the microloop/hook. BUT now that I read back, I read about the compromising. ...

Re: Airstyle kite size in 25 knots

Interesting feedback. Grunt is probably not the best word to use, hence why I called it forward flying grunt. It it the interplay of the inefficient thick leading edge of the dyno working counter to its forward flying aspect driven momentum that creates that really good balance or what I would call...

Re: Soloshot2 deliverytime and reviews?

https://soloshot.com/help-2/soloshot2-b ... tions-use/ Thx f27, So it is 50 steps. That is maybe more then line lenght. Seems to me quit far a way from the water. Add the distance you are kiting away from shore and I conclude you can not film up close. I hoped there was a trick to avoid setting it ...

Re: Soloshot2 deliverytime and reviews?

I read that you have to walk the detector out (in direction of filming), about line lenght. That means you can not set it up at side of the beach. Is that right?

Re: Airstyle kite size in 25 knots

[/quote]I almost need to consider a seat harness I think and maybe even a smaller board than the 126 to go beyond that..unless it's super flat and consistent wind. But the more I ride the rebel 18 the better it gets...I suppose like all kites. I'm starting to get some relatively high jumps (you kno...

Re: Tutorial - How To build a custom Airstyle T-Handle

I used tennis grip tape myself, the sticky stuff. Has some padding with it. Soft but firm easy to grip and it won't rotate on the handle...you can't have it rotating at all. I tried some roof rack foam stuff and it didn't work, definetly needs glueing above. Looks a great handle man. I took some ne...

Re: Soloshot2 deliverytime and reviews?

-The soloshot setup is a PITA. You need to warm up the 'Tag' (the armband) for 8 minutes. Place your soloshot where you will be filming and aim it at an object 50 ft away. Walk the tag around randomly for 50 steps, then place it over the soloshot, push some buttons, then go to the object you origin...
