Re: Looking for a bar with alot of throw..whats out there?

I am looking for a bar with alot of throw. I would rather sheet out alot on the bar first before pulling the de-power strap. Any suggestions? Looks like the Naish bar 2009 and 2010 seem to have alot of throw...any others? Thanks Would you consider just making your own modifications to the bar you h...

Re: Self-rescue question ...

Hey Gaztreme, I'm with you on this...I think that there is a lot of bad information on this thread... starting with a good description on how you "walk up a line"....From what I remember, from the early days of kiting, this "walking up a line" was more like "running like hell toward the kite, hoping...

Re: Remove o-shit handles..how bad is this good idea?

also...Here is a recent post from the following long standing thread: This sort of experience lends credence to the hypothesis that the new "2-front-lines-acting-as-a- fifth-line" "safety systems' are really more of a'convenience' system, than a true "single line flagging" safety system. Don't get m...

Re: Remove o-shit handles..how bad is this good idea?

Appreciate all the inputs and examples given. Here are a couple of other things to consider, before removing the Oh Sh** handles: (1) The rear lines of a kite take only a small percentage of the stress from the kite, and are therefore, less likely to break, and are more likely to remain in good sha...

Re: Remove o-shit handles..how bad is this good idea?

Ha...I just put "Oh S--t" handles on my new Bow kite. I don't trust the "life-line" safety system, going to the 2 front lines, in a serious situation, even though that type of "safety" ('convenience' might be a better name) system, works really well, from my experience, so far.

Each to his own.
