kite tow in

Anyone ever tried this? Tow in surfing, but with your buddy towing you in with a kite instead of a jet ski. He tows you in to waves for a while, then you trade the kite and you can tow him in. Both of you on surfboards, probably strapped. Pulling around the handle when he’s surfing doesn’t seem like...

umm, yes, that is what they have said. only diff is the cuben and a slightly different aspect ratio. great news for the standard waroo! i'm certainly no brand pimp, but all this jealous bickering from scottm and similar people is pretty pathetic. most of the people i see on waroos didn't buy them be...

Topic: How to gybe a skimboard?

This is a good question. It seems like most people just ride it backwards (slow if you have decent nose rocker) or spin it around. I wanted to learn a gybe style that I could do in any condition (not just flat water). This took me a surprisingly long time. I actually postponed learning it pretty ear...

remember, you are using this with a kite, not just gliding off inertia like a normal skimmer. use the cabal boards as a benchmark. they began with a 51 and 46 inch ones, but 51 was much more popular. the new fire board comes in 50 and 52 inches, most people seem to stock the 50. just get a board thi...

hein, why do you think other fins are thick in the first place? it isn't hard to make thin fins, so there must be some design tradeoffs, right? if you look at the foils used on fast dinghies they aren't trying to be as thin as possible, because if it's thin, then there is less shape to it and less l...

just to be clear to others, you are talking about nose rocker, which is obviously a good thing. it's only bad if you ride the board backwards. the rest of the boards are flat, or almost flat. you want a foam board, not wood. although i have been tempted to buy one of those $30 wood things the size o...

so on the bottom turn you are never really sweeping the kite across the window, just raising it above you and using your momentum? is that right? this is the video from indonesia. you have to admit it looks fun. http://www.kiteforum.tv/index.php?option=com_videos&task=download&id=634&Itemid=31 Oi, a...

Thanks for the video. It would be nice to see a wide angle video which showed what was always happening with the kite. Most videos, like this one, have all the cool glory shots, but don’t help show the mechanics behind it. When you can see the kite, everything is a lot clearer. I’d like to see where...
