Re: More strutless love

I love my Clouds (6, 8, 10). Love, love, love.

@clydesdale: bar pressure feels pretty light to me. Agree with what BWD says.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Agree with everything fishfood said - my experience was very similar. I also started with the 8 and shortly after got the 10 and the 6, too. If you liked the turning speed of the 8, just wait until you try the 6. Unbelievable! So much fun!

Re: Glue for repairing bladders and valves

I have used Performix VLP with great success. I've used it to reattach valves and to patch bladders. I'm pretty sure the valves I reattached will never come unstuck now... I've even used it to make a valve. It is a little tricky to use, because it causes the bladder material to curl when you apply i...

Re: Looking for Engine Harness owners

I don't own one, but I most definitely will when my current harness wears out. Or maybe sooner - I know a good thing when I see it! I would expect durability would not be radically different to any other kiting gear. The Engine is closed with rope, so maybe that would be the first thing to fail. But...

Fish, birds, sealions, dolphins and just once a whale. Seeing the whale was an amazing experience.

Re: What do people like about kiting in waves?

Can't believe how little people are really talking about surfing! Kiting in waves is all about surfing for me! But, you have this extra dimension in the kite. It helps you get out quickly. helps you get over waves, it lets you power into the wave with a lot less effort... but it's all about riding t...

Re: Strutless kite trend

I have an 8m strutless kite. I got it for riding in the surf and have been pretty amazed at it's performance for that. It is more powerful than a conventional kite at the same time as turning faster for the same size. It also has improved drift due to the light weight. It has other interesting chara...

Do you have a sports car with a small trunk...?
Sell it and get a proper car for kiting ;-)

Re: Sri Lanka - any waves?

A friend is going there this month for wave kiting. All I know is that she's doing some kind of course and that it is an hour in the opposite direction from Arugam Bay from the airport.
