Re: 2019 Duotone Click Bar

Actually, it might be better to just lower the V/Y-divider to close to the black depower tube, to save the red safety front line wearing out when it comes out form the tube. This divider will allow the both front lines come out parallel from the tube and hence no wear in the red QR safety line. Som...

Re: 2019 Duotone Click Bar

Yep, pull that trash off. Save it for if you ever get a kite that requires the high Y or sell the bar down the road. Actually, it might be better to just lower the V/Y-divider to close to the black depower tube, to save the red safety front line wearing out when it comes out form the tube. This div...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

Regarding upwind ability, out yesterday with the 5 m2 on a low AR wave wing not very powered, at least as high than when I am out on my LEIs: Nice to know, as I have read some saying it does not, so almost convinced myself about this before riding ha haa - stupid  8) Peter I am one that f...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

my cents: I'm 80kg and ride Onda 633 with 109 pocket board. I'm riding the 5m at the max low end in winds of 4,5ms average and 5,2ms gusts. We have wind meter at kite level and steady winds so it's easy to check the low end. This was however that it's better to be on the foil, and never come off bec...

Re: Fastest turning foil kites

Hi All, I’m progressing into tacks on a medium size wing, about 600 sqcm and finding my 12 mtr Soul not really up to the task in the 7-10 knot range. Just doesn’t have the power out of the tack and I’m getting touchdowns. So I guess I need a bigger kite. A 15 Soul is going to be big and slow, a Son...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

It seems the discussions and reports are only focussed on the death rates, however, what is perhaps more worrying is the fu(kups on lungs; if the virus gets in to your lungs it permanently damages them even if you survive. This means that your lung capacity will decrease dramatically. It’s truly far...

Re: How to build a bar? Just the rod/pole item ~60cm. Anyone done it?

yes, full release is really not an option; I had the kite fall down once while foiling due to a very odd complete short period of zero wind which resulted the kite to taco or something and just dropped to the water and no way to relaunch. The outcome was that with the foil going upwind due to small ...

Re: How to build a bar? Just the rod/pole item ~60cm. Anyone done it?

Made epoxy plugs in airex. When bar was finished i drilled holes trough them and inserted tubes using epoxy. I dont think tt its a good idea, but time Will tell. 2 other bars Will be made using another bar end types. It is a kind of experiment. How did you make the center hole, I mean which materia...

80cm alu mast much worse compared to carbon for bigger wings for surfkiting?

I currently have 91 (93?)cm Carbon mast, but would like to have a shorter one, and thinking abt different options, ie. alu vrs. carbon 80cm masts. Alu obviously heavier than carbon, but for wavesurfing, would I notice this weigh somehow and what about the other downsides of alu, and are there any ne...
