Re: Gear question

For a lightwind board, if you're looking for a twintip, consider the Spleene Monster Door, the Nobile Flying Carpet or the Slingshot Glide. Boards that are flat will be good for lightwind. As for the 9m Switchblade, $1,300 sounds decent for a brand new kite if it's a 2013 or even 2014 and includes b...

Re: Need help with 2013 Cab SB 9m

As mentioned already, I would check your line lengths. A quick fix is to just connect your steering lines to the bottom knot (furthest away from the kite).

Re: Did you take intermediate or advanced lessons?

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like unless one lives in a spot where they can get out on the water several times a week, it's hard to progress beyond simple riding and jumps. Of course the week away at a windy spot for a vacation is great... but then the time spent crashing, retrieving a board a...

Re: 2011 Cabrinha Crossbow, 7 struts

If one was to replace the Crossbow 13m, would you choose a 14 or 12m Switchblade?

Re: Switchblade quiver advice

Maybe just look for an 8m or smaller used (?) There are often good deals out there on older slightly used models of the Switchblade. Why pay brand new retail prices when it seems the smaller kites don't get used as much?

Re: Cabrinha SB 2014 Wind Range

Maybe get an 11m? Might miss a bit on the lighter wind days unless you get a 14m

Re: Cabrinha SB 2014 Wind Range

I'm 83kg and use my 10m SB when the wind gets steady over 15 knots. That's with a wakestyle board and chop. 12m fine below that.

Re: Board size and chop

My guess is if someone is having trouble with their stance and attributes that to a difficulty staying upwind, then probably wise to go somewhere where the conditions are mainly flat water. That way it's easier to mess around with stance and not have waves to bother with. Cruising around waves and g...

Re: What happens when you reach your Limit

If I'm well rested and fed, I can stay out for hours. But one time I was having a fantastic day and was riding for about 3 hours straight. When I came back to the beach and got off my board my legs were like jelly! I was actually concerned I wouldn't be able to walk to a spot to land my kite. After ...
