Re: Big racefoil?

I have now foiled for almost 4 seasons. The first 3 seasons I used racefoils below 600cm2, and got to a level where I just managed foiling gybes and tacks. This season I switched to low aspect 1100cm2 thick wave foil. It is so much easier, but I miss the upwind speed on flat water. I am considering...

Re: Foil - wave riding

I'm betting on Ozone Alpha. Hopefully, it improves wave foil riding as so far it's pretty much cow on the ice trying to manage power from wave and pull from moving kite.

Re: Moses 2018

] I agree on October 2017 Slingshot line - whoever advocated “fast, high jumping wings” (by snapping 2016/2017 Moses racewings stock right before Moses announced 649 fuselage, 637/590/633/683S wings etc) didn’t do company a good service. At least I personally had a facepalm moment last October seei...

Re: Moses 2018

Crazyfly now offering 101/558/330 and 91/550/325 Moses 2018 foils branded as theirs! Amusingly their site claims otherwise.. I don't disagree w/ your statement, but perhaps their verbiage https://www.crazyflykites.com/foil "We are extremely proud to be the first and only Kiteboarding brand producin...

Re: Ozone Reo V5

any feedback on the dual bridle settings? Regular V. onshore wind conditions? I tried this new onshore setting very shortly, but I didn't like it as it had more bar pressure and wasn't so smooth as the default setting. Maybe I'll try to test it more one day, but the kite works so great on the defau...

Re: Hyperlink 12m vs Soul 12m

They are not painful at all, 3 good designs on water to choose from A15,Aurora 2 and Genesis. I saw them in action. Constantly collapsing wing tips, uncontrollable pull, unstable. If I'd wish to buy a kite on a budget, I'd rather get local Paraavis kites that cost around 1000$ with bar included. Bu...

Re: Best "FreeRace" Foil Kite?

What is your recommendation for a great "FreeRace" foil kite? I am thinking of a 2-kite quiver, 11m and 15m. More wind than that and I'll probably stick to my LEI. I am not on the racing scene, so I don't necessarily need a race-only kite. I have both a race foil and a freeride foil, and I simply e...

Re: Hyperlink 12m vs Soul 12m

Your best bet is to get one slightly used and try to ride it for a while. I bought 12m Hyperlink brand new and after a few uses I realized that it's a fantastic kite but slightly too large for my gusty lake conditions for the hydrofoil. They told me that 9m is a better as lowend is pretty close to ...
