Re: Harness replacement webbing

One quick note that would seem sort of obvious, but took me about 10 years ( ) and numerous harnesses breaking on me to figure out. When you take your harness off, even though only one side opens up, loosen up the straps on BOTH sides. B/c only one side opens up, I was only loosening THAT sid...

Where I often ride its common to see slicks when fish are schooling -often menhaden on east coast US,
I actually first noticed this when my father pointed it out to me while we were fishing. You can sometimes actually notice the fishy smell of the large school below.

Re: Ebay treasure trove - where old kite gear goes to die.

I'm amazed sometimes with what people drop by with and ask me to take a look at/fix. They're always newbs, no lessons yet, got a REALLY good deal on Craigslist, Ebay, etc...and couldn't pass it up. One time, I had a guy come in and told me this same type of story. I went out to look at it. It was an...

Re: Why do schools keep using the seat harness in lessons but most people use waist?

I think the waist harness popularity is partly just a look cool thing. I'll second that ^ Yes. I think the popularity of waist harnesses is mostly for the same reason so many people hook their leashes to the back of their harnesses, even though they NEVER unhook. The reason is that they see all the...

Re: What's the durability of Cabrinha Fireball with lots of big air, anyone tried it with Core bar?

Thanks, SENDIT!! So if you change to a rope it means you have another bar or do you use some adapter? No, for riding with a slider I have another control bar. I think you could make an adapter using some line/rings if you wanted to...I've seen guys smarter than I am showing off their DIY efforts he...

Re: What is hot right now in kiteboarding!

All this for another rant 🙄 As annoying as PMU is, he only posts twice a year a new topic....  As I read *some* of that, I was wondering if longwhitecloud is stuck at home, nursing an injury or something. Or maybe it's not windy there right now and he's getting fussy like the rest of us ...

Re: Its a midlife crisis and I need a fitness tracker - need advice

I have nothing constructive to add to this thread other than my shared hatred for all things Apple and slight interest in a smart watch for myself......but don't most guys get a Porsche or a 20 year old girlfriend for their mid life crisis?.........not a fitness tracker. j/k Taut. Points for ...

Re: Turbine 19m

We have a Turbine 19m that gets used for lessons when the wind is really marginal. Mostly b/c if there's enough wind for that kite to fly, it will relaunch. Just a couple of weeks ago, I had a guy (180 lbs) get up and get his first real ride on the board (Litewave Wing 165) using that 19m Turbine in...

Re: What's the durability of Cabrinha Fireball with lots of big air, anyone tried it with Core bar?

I'm 230 lbs and like riding overpowered for going big. I've used the Fireball set up quite a bit over the last couple of years, both in teaching and riding on my own. I've never had an issue with anything breaking on it. I really do think it's superior to the chickenloop for pretty much everything e...

Re: Hydrofoil mast position in relation to front wing?

Hi Tomas, Put your mast in the spot where it's basically through the wing. That's for kitefoiling. You would shift it to the second location (back behind the wing) if you were SUP or Wind foiling. As far as positioning the mast in relation to the board, start with it all the way to the rear position...
