Re: Non rotating airstyle

well, I use 95% an 18 sqm kite. Winds from 12-25 knots, warm air. I have a 16 sqm kite for winds from 20-30 (warm air). And a 13 sqm kite for winds from 25+ (warm air) BUT, I can choose more or less my conditions...I like 15-25 knots...if 25+ I don't want to go out. This season in Brazil I rode 95%...

Re: Non rotating airstyle

Toby,

Can you give us an idea of the kites and sizes that you use for various wind speeds. We know that you like to go big, but how big?

What is your weight?

Thx,

Ed

Turks and Caicos

Just wondering if anyone here is going to Provo Turks and Caicos in Feb?

Maybe we can meet up and kite together at Grace Bay or Long Bay?

Ah - beautiful Long Bay. Nice riding and baby son.

What kite and board were you using?

I will be there in Feb.

Re: Q-Line Stretch bugging me!

my first q set lasted over 7 years of regular use--still in good shape when sold with a kite. q line will break at a knot--use double overhand knot/figure eight and breakage won't happen. Mine are now 5 years and still going strong. As far as stretch goes, I had a bit on the front lines when I firs...

Re: Potential safety issue with Epic Renegade kites

Same thing happened to me with a new North Rebel at the very end of the bladder. Since it was new, it was warrantied. Still, I was ticked off when it happened since it ruined my session. I never had any ill-will towards North however and still think they are some of the best made kites I've ever ow...

Re: EpicKites 4G

Dimitri, The new bar and quick release look very good. Rugged, robust and very easy to reset. Two questions: 1. Did you test the release under a very heavy load to see if it still releases easily? 2. Some quick releases are prone to "accidental release". Is there any issue with that happening? Thank...

Re: Small kites jump higher? Nope!

My large kite jumping technique with large kites must be off. I can jump really well with a 10, pretty good with a 12, but with my 14 not so well. I find the timing is different on each of these kites. With the 10 I send and carve upwind at about the same time. With the 12 I initiate sending kite t...
