Re: Firewire Vader, Fins recommendations

Been running the 5.3 as a tri and quad. TRI VS QUAD As other say when you are running it is a quad, you gain more speed, upwind ability, but loose some turning ability and the ability to pivot straight up vertical to the wave face in the bottom turn. All things considered I like quad the most though...

Re: Firewire Vader

At 75 kg / 165 lbs i prefer the 5´3" - maybe because I was also in 6-5 wetsuit, and the waves not as powerfull as in Hawaii (?) For me the 5´1 felt super small, but then again I only had limited time to try the boards.

Obviously with the Vanguard or Vader this makes little sense anymore. So people go to the next best thing - volume. Surface area would likely even b...

Re: Firewire Vader

Go take a few fluid dynamics courses and get back to me when you know what you're talking about. It's impossible for volume to have any direct effect on a board when it is not submerged. K thx bye. :bye: Disagree Da Yoda try not to confuse volume(which matters very little, if at all for kitt...

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

So which fin setup are you using ?

Its weird for me at 75 kg and a full wetsuit i felt the vader 5.1 was a bit to small so went for the 5.3 instead

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

What kind of fins are you guys using for the vader? I wonder if it differs from the vanguard, because the vader is so loose?
