Re: Football vs Kitesurf

well Mariano, if you are trying to talk on behalf of the billions you are most certainly being wrong. may be they play occasionally but they are certainly not "billions" of world cup fans. Obviously... when he said "billions" he clearly just meant "a lot". Yes, I meant 'a lot' :) But maybe I'm not ...

Re: Football vs Kitesurf

I don't understand why anybody cares about commercial team sports in general. You don't get to play the game. You don't know any of the players personally. You had no hand in the training or the selection of the players. It's got nothing in the slightest to do with any of you. It's a bunch of multi...

Re: Naish Apex - Alternative fixation, ur urgent opinon pls?

The slot in the casting seems to be higher than the regular mounting point, so the screw may not be going into the thread as deep as it should. That may lead to the bolt leverage on the thread insert and probably bend it or damage the thread. I would try longer screws to compensate the higher mounti...

Go to Chile for awesome wave riding. Bring a heavy wet suit. 4mm if you're a cold person. Go to Argentina or Uruguay for sweet chicks and good night life, and still wind, no so nice waves. January - February. In Argentina: Mar del Plata, Pinamar. In Uruguay: Punta del Este. Very cheap Spanish lesson...

Re: Cabrinha bladder popped

Whenever I blow up my kites I am very careful to make sure the kite is nice and spread out. I will take a break from pumping at least once and make sure nothing is folded or twisted so no pressure points develop. Bottom line , do not let the pumping of air unroll your kite, unroll then pump paying ...

Re: Naish / Slingshot / Airush

What's the downside of the Octopus system? From what I've seen it one of the more reliable systems. The valves were not very good. They would get unglued easily, and I think it would also loose air from the internal valves. I had the 2006 Torchs. After some time, it would loose air and it was hard ...

Clearly, the girl should have put her kite down and grabbed the other kite. She was safe and in control of her kite already.
And the guy should have pull the QR right after the first loop.

Consider also your board.

On a freerace, race board, or on a hydrofoil, a 12m should be fine.

But if you're on a twintip, 15 should be the minimum.

Re: keeping bar attached to kite

Start doing it and you will find out by yourself all the tips and tricks that work better for you. It's very easy. Even engineers can do it. (Just kidding, don't get mad.) :P The only thing I can add is that after winding the lines, I put the bar inside its mesh bag to avoid hard parts on the bar ru...
