Re: HURRICANE FLORENCE and Dimitri Maramenides

I was expecting a kiting video of an awesome rider in epic conditions, but most of the video was DM showing off his van full of gear and some weather news. Disappointing.

Re: North Valves: Continuing a sad story

that valve in the picture isn't the old Cab's that you have to screw on? It works, but it has double screw. I like the Naish inflating valve. At least until 2015. I don't know if they changed it lately. Just push it in, then pump, then screw in the lid. It works every time. No twisting, no double s...

The All-New Moto kite leads us into a new era of performance kitesurfing that smashes all conventional thinking.

Re: North Valves: Continuing a sad story

You get what you pay for, lol Yes, but in this case, North kites are expensive, so you pay big but you get little. I''ve been lucky so far. My 2016 Dice valve was hissing some times while pumping but it would keep air once the lid got tight. And somehow it got itself fixed and it doesn't do it anym...

Re: Gear that has exceeded your expectations!

Maybe you just got everything kiting had to give you.

If you love mountain biking and surfing, stick to those.
With the bike at least you don't need to wait for the wind.
Good luck waiting for the swells though. It may be worst than wind.

Re: Downwinder in Pompano Beach, FL. Where to launch?

Anyone...? I’d start in Delray or Spanish River. I would t worry too much about the private home owners, the beach is for everyone. Thanks man. I was thinking in something shorter, but I may try those spots to start. And keep praying for wind. May has been good. June and July have been very bad.

Re: Downwinder in Pompano Beach, FL. Where to launch?

So one unlucky kid, who who knows what he was into, got some itching worm and we should stop kiting in that gorgeous spot?

Seems kind of alarmist to me. Better for us. We'll get less tourists. Hopefully they'll go to Colorado. :jump:

Re: Advice from an older married kiter to a young one

Nice write up!

But 4...:

Kids demand a lot of time, energy and money. I enjoyed my life full throttle from 20 to 40, then had my kids at 40.

Re: USA Second hand Kitesurf market

I don' t like eBay for selling, as you have to pay 10% to eBay and then 3% to PayPal. Then, when you get to sell your gear, you don't get your money for some days, and if the buyer, reasonably or not, makes a claim, then you have to spend more of your time proving that your item was legit, well desc...

Re: Harness replacement webbing

The webbing on my Ion Apex got worn as well.
It lasted about 50 days of use.
I wish it lasted longer, or at least it didn't need professional sewing to replace it.
