Re: Fireball with slider bar question

A1 inch is a little small for the latch to rotate through. I don't want anything in the way of the QR.

Re: Fireball with slider bar question

I have the same setup. I use a standard 2" stainless steel ring that I purchased from my local boat supply store. I don't know what it is rated, but I have had lines break while using this set up. The lines broke before the ring. I think you will hear repeatedly that it MUST be stainless.

Re: iwatch setting question

That is not my experience at all. Other than (known) jump heights being completely unreliable, all other features of the session app has worked flawlessly for me. FYI - Apple Watch Series 3 w/o cellular. I have no affiliation with Xensr in any way.

You might consider a Cabrinha Spade. It may match your requirements well. I'm an Ocean Rodeo guy, and love the Duke. Disclaimer: I am terrible on a surfboard, but enjoy riding all the same.

Re: DIY bar strength?

they used to make control bars this way and I've used one before, but if you have used them you'll find they are just not as nice. It's easier to get your finger trapped against the bar, also easier to have a chicken line wrap around the bar and get a powered death loop because all you have prevent...

Re: DIY bar strength?

Why do center lines have to pass through a "hole in the bar"? Think U mounted to bottom of bar. Why would that not work? Plus maintains integrity (strength) of tube without the need for hole.

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

Thanks a lot for sharing! More details on the comparison pls. Did the AW measure lower or higher? If higher, how tall are you and was the bar all the way out (watch on wrist / woo on board). _Might_ account for most of the 2.6 meters. Also, a Xensor comparison would be more accurate since that algo ...
