Re: Duotone 2020

People always want 1 type of kite, but why? "They fly the same and it's what you get used to" is only true to some extent, a 12 will always handle differently from a 9. And eventually you dial into your kites anyways if you ride them long enough. So get the type of kite for the conditions you are go...

Re: Naish Dash

I own both. Dash v1 8m, Pivot 2018 7m. Dash is more direct and crisp, very responsive, best ridden well powered up. In the right conditions rips you off the water more than the Pivot. Boosts to the moon if handled correctly. Loops quick and well. Overall it's a kite with great high performance but y...

I got 2020 10 pivot out yesterday. Super stoked about this kite. Was pretty lit, and wind was a bit up and down. I was jumping and riding waves.
What size were you on? How does it compare to last year's and 2018 version?

Re: Mystic Majestic X harness sizing?!

I would go for the smaller size as it eventually stretches
out a bit anyways. But best is still to try it on in all sizes!

Re: Barcelona Kiting Info

San Pere Pescador and Estartit are spots about an hour away. Estartit has a kite school, try and contact them. In Barcelona near the airport there is also a spot I think.

Re: Light wind board / kite suggestions?

I knew someone would say "get a hydrofoil". Remember, nobody cares that you foil. Haha yes 2 years ago I used to be just like you, annoyed by the "just foil" comments. I am only doing the same thing now because it's just true! Like I said, I went through all the super-expensive low wind equipment (...

Re: Light wind board / kite suggestions?

Save your money and just buy a hydrofoil. Nothing compares, nothing else even comes close in terms of efficiency in lightwind. I bought biggger twintips, surfboard, north nugget, and a 17m. Now my biggest kite is a 9m onestrut and I ride a big wing surffoil in sub10 knots. If the windrange around 10...

If you're looking for something aggressive and punchy with a very direct feel, Naish Dash should be on your shortlist. Not ideal for waves though...

Re: Best country to be a refugee in claim welfare and kitesurf all day forever

I've always wondered about these kitesurfing laptop workers - what is it exactly what they do, and what companies do they work for to just let them be away all the time? I presume most of them are independent?
