Ok so how is the upwind ability of the Helium in superlight winds (sub 10kts)?

Re: Fastest TT in the market ??

Shinn Monk is suuuperfast and stable, and eats chop superwell, 0 spray, and carves and cuts like a hot knife through butter. I got the 137x44 and it's great, but since I no longer live in the low-wind location where I used to live a few weeks ago, I'm looking to downsize to a smaller size (I weigh 7...

Re: Kitesurfing in Decline?

Kitesurfing is def not declining, there's more and more people on the water every season! Just these past few days I was out in the freezing cold, it's a little too early in the season in Northern Europe, but on Saturday there were 12 people on the water when I expected to be the only one brave enou...

Re: new flysurfer tube kite

Mmmm nah I don't see a chrono type rider wanting the boost in my mind. It will never be the race kite the chrono, elf, sonic is. I think it will be a very good boosting old school kite that can be applied to some racing if one wishes. But the high aspect foils will continue to kick its ass. Yes if ...

Re: new flysurfer tube kite

Can't wait to hear the first reviews of the LW models. If that 18 goes superwell upwind, jumps nicely, and has a very good low end, it might be a good option for those thinking about getting a Chrono but being reluctant to invest because it's not an inflatable...

Re: Kite spots similar to Soma Bay or Dakhla?

I've never been, but pretty sure Gokova is pretty wind-sure in the summer months due to the thermals that roll in every afternoon, and thermals dont always show up on wind-websites. That being said, I've heard it gets crazy busy there though.

Re: Lightwind waveboard: Nugget, Space Pickle, F-one Fish?

Thanks for all the tips :thumb: - got to ride the SP wake version in very light winds with my Fat Lady on flat water, fun little board! Can confirm that the fins start singing though, and had some difficulties riding it toeside but im sure that has more to do with my lack of skills and not being use...

Re: Zephyr for low wind freestyle ?

Can confirm that the Blade Fat Lady V2 that I own is a supernice and stable kite, but not good at all to go upwind. I'm sure my skills have something to do with it, but still, that thing pulls downwind like a truck. I'm looking into getting a new LW kite that has way better upwind for this reason.

Lightwind waveboard: Nugget, Space Pickle, F-one Fish?

So I've been reading up on all the topics on the lightwind waveboards, and am thinking of getting one for those days that the wind is really minimal and I want to go out on my 17m (7/8 kts --> 13 kts). If the wind picks up and it handles nicely in chop, that's a big plus, because things get pretty c...
