Re: Duotone Mono 2019

Looks super low AR. Gonna be grunty with drift but doubt that it will get you upwind easily on a TT or surfboard in it's lower end... Less important on the foil though.

Re: Naish Dash

There's been a few posts already describing the Dash in detail, you can research those. I personally am a big fan of the V1 8m. When powered up, it's a boosting machine. Compared to the Pivot, you need to get your timing right on the Dash. But when you do, you will go at least as high. Less float/ha...

Re: What lightwind kite should I choose for a small rider?

@Peter, yes it is where most of us end in our light wind journey, and we almost all go through it. I too went TT, bigger TT, surfboard, 17m Fat Lady, nugget, foil. And now multiple foils :-). Now my biggest kite is a 12 (but mostly out on 9) and the 17 and bigger TTs have been sold. Nugget is collec...

Re: What lightwind kite should I choose for a small rider?

I know it's not what you want to hear, but forget about riding TT or directional in less than 10 knots - you won't be doing decent jumps or tricks, and it's just not fun after a while. All you can maybe do is mow the lawn. And if you do enjoy just cruising around, you will love flying. So save yours...

Re: Whats happening with King of the Air?

Firstly, they should just have camera's at the water line - why they film all the action from up on the parking lot goes beyond me, the jumps look way less impressive than they really are. Secondly, I think they should organize a second, smaller, very last minute event, called "Man of the moon" or s...

Re: Naish Dash 1st vs 2nd release?

Hi everyone and thanks for all your comments and opinions. My story is that I have rode old PARKs (2013 and 14) and now its time for replacement :) The offer I have is either Dash 1st release or 3rd release (upcoming one). Also ATB bar 2018 or the one from upcoming release. Im tempted to get kite 3...

Re: Naish Dash 1st vs 2nd release?

Interesting, do they differ in pop& slack dept.? Although this is more relevant to the bigger sizes. Czezz, I just mentioned that soon new one will be released...👍 Don't unhook so can't answer that, sorry. But my gutfeel says that the 2018 is more freestyle-oriented, so maybe the newer version has ...

Re: Naish Dash 1st vs 2nd release?

Based on extensive experience on Dash 8m's both versions back to back, I find they fly quite differently. 2017/1st version: crispier feel, quick around the loop with little pull, boosting machine when powered up, overall one of the best kites I've ever owned. 2018/2nd version: less low end but bette...

Re: Semis Tuesday? - King of the Air 2019 - all info here

Possible 1 pm start? Seems a bit early - I hope they wait for the real wind to kick in in the late afternoon instead of starting that early! Would be nice to finally get a KOTA final with a serious Cape Doctor of 40+ knots! :naughty: :mosh:

Re: North/Duotone Mono

I have the 12 from 2016/17 I think. Use it for foiling 8-13 knots, and for waveriding up to 16/17. I like it in it's lower end, has loads of power and relaunches suprisingly well. Drift also not too shabby for a 12 but not as good as my smaller dedicated wavekites. One thing to keep in mind: it's gr...
