Re: Mast position - explain like I am 5

Oh what a difference an inch makes and that is not a sexual metaphor. By a combination of moving the mast forward and pushing the foot strap back a bit I was able to ride until my foot cramped and my wife was bored. At some point in the future I will be asking for advice on how to change stance but ...

Re: recomendations impact vest (with a bit of a rant)

thanks ziatko23. That is pretty much what I thought but I am having a hell of a time finding a large NP or ion in a bright color. If you are either xxxl or petite there are plenty. Just not large.

Re: Mast position - explain like I am 5

Thank you everyone. I looked at how the board is set up and using the hook as positioned it is obviously too close to the center of lift. I am, as Kamikuza suggested, going to take out my tools next time and do the adjustments in increments. I would be doing that now but there is an anvil cloud over...

Mast position - explain like I am 5

I am struggling to learn to foil behind a boat. I struggle to learn anything so this is expected. I am improving but it is just a bit slower than continental drift. The instructions that came with the board state that beginners should position the mast as far back as possible. Being a good little ne...

Re: learning to foil behind a boat

Herman you make an excellent point. If my wife is observing me than I cannot say with certainty that I am beside the boat. As this involves being pulled behind a boat by a rope this may be a question for string theory. Otherwise I think you are probably correct that it is the lack of resistance that...

Re: Helmet is so noisy:(

I could be completely talking out my ass here but could the problem be related to the helmet being a continuous hard shell? Like any smooth surface the wind will have to accelerate to go around your head (like an airplane wing) which will increase the noise over any ear opening. Additionally a semi ...

Progress update :Re: learning to foil behind a boat

Update. Following the suggestions posted here (thanks everyone) I purchased a slingshot hoverglide with a 71 cm mast. My first time out I was up and riding for about 60 seconds which I was unable to repeat for several days. Part of the problem on my second day was forgetting to take the covers off t...

Re: recomendations impact vest (with a bit of a rant)

Mossy 757 or IRWE does the NP High hook pfd have a hole through which the hook goes or is it sort of a high opening. All the dealers use Niel Prydes pictures which are pretty sad.
thx
