has anyone compared efoils

As the title states, has anyone had an opportunity to compare some of the "off brand" efoils.
Is Lift twice as good as the others and if so what makes it so?
Is there any place on the east coast that has efoils other than Lift?
thx

Re: hatteras july august

Thanks very much for the information. I will probably go for the inland option as I checked out KHK and Real and my credit card started to scream. It settled down to just whimpering softly when I looked inland.

If I lower my standards and stay inland, how tough is it to find public areas to launch?

Re: hatteras july august

Thanks for the information. I will be traveling with my wife who is a great supporter of my various hobbies but does demand a certain level of comfort in exchange for that support. Sleeping in the back of my pickup would not endear me in her eyes. Despite being at this for quite a while I still suck...

hatteras july august

According to windfinder and windguru this is the worst time of year to go to Hatteras. Additionally it is high season so it will be expensive. That being said is it worth the drive up from SE Florida for a couple of weeks to get away from the thunderstorms. We are not really interested in clubs or r...

Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

Everyone else has addressed kiting, I am going to talk about money. I posted this exact question about 5 years ago and then went hunting. I spent the last 25 years in California before I retired. I am still looking for the perfect place but I am currently based in SW Florida because it is cheap, no ...

Care and feeding of your kite

Flaking versus rolling I have been told that flaking a kite is a better way to store it than rolling. This is counter-intuitive as flaking by definition makes a much tighter fold than rolling. Tight folds are bad for dacron and really bad for plastic. However, as it is nearly impossible (at least fo...

Re: Tips and Tricks to Repair Kites - add your experience!

The sealer that my wife has does not have a heat adjustment or a pressure adjustment. One feeds in the ends and it buzzes and carries on and eventually spits out the sealed end. She has also discovered my nefarious plan so with that in mind... Edt any recommendations for a cheap unit that I can play...

Vacuum sealers. Does anyone know if vacuum sealers (eg trade name seal-a-meal) will work for kite bladder material? Before I ruin one of my wife's favorite appliances I would like to know if anyone has tried this.
thx

Re: A thought experiment

Thanks everyone for their thoughts.
Greenturtle,
I didn't see any mermaids but there were some proposes at the entrance to the bay. There were also more fish around the reef than anywhere I have ever been.
