Re: Directional kiteboard for waveriding

Just look for something with a bit a width and volume and you'll be fine learning. There are plenty of choices.

Re: A Bar that doesn't change any 'games' but rocks anyway

That twist to release would take some getting used to. I twist to untwist my lines :) and would not want to be pulling up thinking I was releasing and have nothing happen. This is why most industry's have standards...but clearly and sadly lacking in kiteboarding. I heard their new bar in development...

Very sorry to hear this! It sounds like he was getting the most out of life and enjoyed it up until the very end. Condolences go out to his family and friends.

Re: Dry suit maintanence

Maybe I'm just lucky but my OR Soul has seen many, many sessions over the past 3 years and I've never had a problem with seals. I often treat with Aerospace 303 and the seals look just as good today as they did when I purchased the suit. Hope I did not just jinx myself but so far it's held up well.

Re: What's in your wave kite quiver?

I find big ktes much more thrilling, sublime! They are incredibly fast, agile, accelerate in negative time, and hold you lovingly like the muscular thoroughbreads. Or like a car with 300+ horsepower/6+ cylinders. It''s a monster, so do respect it. . 300hp a monster? Now that's about the funniest th...

Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

I would without hesitation recommend a North Nugget to a beginner. Wide, stable platform and easy to ride. But the Evo and Nugget are not even remotely close in terms of user experience IMHO. Event the north whip which is supposed to be similar to a Tomo does not ride close to the Tomo boards. I ha...

Re: Stormageddon in Seattle

Nice vid! I was in Normandy Park visiting my sister this summer but we did not get any wind. Had to go south to Hood River where it blew everyday.
Both places are beyond beautiful!

Re: Show us your Custom/Hybrid/Home made kite connector!

Great feedback! I'll run it by my friend and will let you know what v2 looks like if he decides to make any changes. And yes, when not under load it will rotate with the larger hole now on the slider rope. Did not present a problem but that does not mean it could not. He makes 2 sizes, one for Core ...
