Re: The Center Line Swivel; Got one? Love it or Hate it?

The Switch V2 Bar has the swivel (picture in OP) above the bar and this works most of the time, although in some situations the lines will twist and the swivel does not. I have not lubed it up to prevent this (yet) because there is also a below the bar swivel on the chicken loop assembly and it's ea...

Re: Kiting in 50-60 knots

Hit 45knot winds on my 7m Switch Element - was not fun. Between the gusts and the lulls and the kite jellyfishing it was not worth the effort. My buddy on his 8m Switch Nitro3 loved every minute of it though.

Re: Switch bar - controller 2 - tested

Hmm...Wonder if this is the new bar for the new line of light wind kites they will soon be releasing, including the 18m kite?

Re: Man Down! what do you do?

In this example it appears as though the rider pulled the safety but for whatever reason was unable to fully "punch out", however, the rider eventually was able to do so before the kite made it to land. So within the first minute or so of the video, with kite looping and rider conscious, what is the...

2 years in Mexico during December and it was hit or miss, mostly light wind on the hit days on my 13m.

Me too, I'm checking theses, seem quite similar to the Xensr. Can't wait to see both unit specs and pricing once they are ready.
$200 US...should be available soon from what I hear.

Re: Traveling w equipment on carry on

I've been able to lay a 9m and 13m flat then roll up as one kite and stuff into 1 kite bag as carry on. It weighs a lot but there is not a weight limit on carry on, just a size limit and it fits into the overhead unless you are on a prop puddle jumper plane and they make you gate check it, which doe...

Re: Switch Element3 / Switch Nitro 3

Try them both - I highly recommend you do this. I own a 13m Element V1 which was good to learn on in water and also good on the snow. But I kind of outgrew it going into my 2nd season of kiteboarding and upgraded to the V3 Nitro 12m which is a great kite. Not too wild for anyone, even a beginner but...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

I have only great things to say about Switch and I'm not a team rider. Went from v1 Element 13m to a v3 Nitro 12m and WOW! Kite is amazing...killer boosting machine and rides up wind like no other kite. I weigh 205# and on Sunday in about 17 knots of wind I was tearing up wind more efficiently than ...
