Re: Pump mod for old guys

Yeah, I modded my pump too. Tossed it and bought a Scroprega BST Superturbo. Five years on and I still don't need a manual pump.... Yeah I'm a tall guy (6'4") and did the same thing. Toss up between the electric pump and the Hyperflex Playa for the best addition to my kite equipment. Love em both. ...

Re: Switchblade 2014 vs Switchkites Nitro V3?

I'll see if I can get my friend to chime in who rides both, but his SB is 11m and Nitro3 is 8m so it may not be the best comparison. Have you heard what your friend thinks? Really need more input! He was on his 8m Nitro3 this weekend (I was on my 10m) in 15 gusting to 40 (no lie) and he had a great...

I'll see if I can get my friend to chime in who rides both, but his SB is 11m and Nitro3 is 8m so it may not be the best comparison. I have a 10m Nitro3 but to be honest I'm not quite good enough to compare the intricacies of the two kites. I do love my Nitro3 though...great wind range on the high a...

Re: small wave kite = storm kite?

I have a 3.5m Best Kahoona which I've used during blizzards on the snow and it's a sweet kite for these conditions, handling gusts up to 60mph (I weigh 205#) and sustained 45 knot winds. It's for sale in the Second Hand section, asking $400 for kite, Best Redline Bar, pump, leash and bag. Been used ...

Re: Scoprega Bravo BST Rechargeable Kite Pump

Hey guys i changed my inflator battery for the ones I use in R/C models made from lithium. Batteies are called LIPO, are very very easy to find and are lightweight and compact. They are also much cheaper and they charge in 20 minutes. You also need a specific charger http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyk...

Re: Buying Gears For The First Time

If you are from the 603 you may need a life vest if you are just starting out. The limited kite spots we have here can be quite dangerous with rip currents and sometimes shifty winds which go offshore (more likely to see gusts and lulls though) and outgoing tides.
